Itinerary
Day one - Casablanca to Asilah: After breakfast pick-up from your riad in Casablanca for start of tour, travel up the Atlantic coast to Asilah through the Imperial city of Rabat, traditional Moroccan lunch in medina of Asilah. Afternoon guided tour of the old medina with its unusual colourful graffiti painted walls. Late afternoon beach walk for a sunset view of the Atlantic Ocean, fresh seafood dinner on the promenade, overnight Asilah medina.
Day two - Asilah to Tangier: After breakfast, depart to Tangier, visit the famous viewpoint where the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean meet, traditional Moroccan lunch on the Tangier promenade. After lunch, explore the labyrinth of alleyways of the old medina with a local guide, late afternoon sunset beachfront stroll, dinner and overnight Tangier.
Day three – Tangier to Chefchaouen: After early breakfast, depart through Tetaouen to Chefchaouen, the famous blue pearl of Morocco. Upon arrival explore the blue medina (old town) of Chefchaouen with your guide, traditional Moroccan lunch in the medina square, sunset drive for view from the top of city, dinner and overnight Chefchaouen medina.
Day four – Chefchaouen: After early breakfast, morning guided hike in the Rif Mountains, including Cascades d’Akchour and the awe-inspiring Bridge of the Gods with traditional Moroccan picnic lunch next to the waterfall. Afternoon visit to the Kasbah museum, Grande Mosque, free time to explore at leisure. Dinner and overnight Chefchaouen medina.
Day five – Chefchaouen to Fes: After breakfast depart to the ancient Imperial city of Fes through Ouazzan and the holy town of Moulay Idriss, with a traditional Moroccan lunch. Continue to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis with guided tour. Dinner and overnight Fes medina.
Day six – Fes: After breakfast, full morning explore of the walled Fes el Bali medina (UNESCO world heritage site) with a local city guide, visiting the ancient labyrinth of alleyways in the souks, historical monuments, famous Chouara tannery and ceramic co-operative. Traditional Moroccan lunch in the Fes medina. Dinner and overnight Fes.
Day seven – Fes to Meknes: After breakfast depart to the Imperial city of Meknes, guided tour to Bab Mansour, one of the world's most impressive doors and gateway to the historical medina, souks and other historical sites. Traditional Moroccan lunch in the medina. Dinner and overnight Meknes medina.
Day eight - Meknes to Casablanca: After breakfast departure back to Casablanca through Rabat for traditional Moroccan lunch, afternoon public tour of Hassan II Mosque, late afternoon drop off at your riad to end the tour.
